I LOVE this! I'm on my own journey to become an Episcopal Priest! I start at GTS (General) in August, and I'll also be connected with Virginia! I'm writing about my journey here. I hope we can connect!
Hi Danielle, wonderful news! We met as emergent-ish author and editor 11y ago at “Why Christian?” and here we are both spiritual directors and Episcopalians. (Like you, I’d been attending a while; did the paperwork 2 years ago.) I share a love for many of the things you name: the ritual, the very big tent, its ancient-ness.
I love this for you, and for the church. You are being faithful to your calling, wherever it takes you. (Oh, and I found my way into the Episcopal church at the age of 49, too.)
Well, this fits. I'm happy for you. And I'm happy for the Episcopalians. I actually thought of you throughout a worship service I recently attended with my mom at Church of the Incarnation. It was meaningful, and I needed you to be one of the priests leading.

Hi Phil! Didn’t realized you also became EC but love this. Hope our paths continue to cross.

That is so kind to say Ashley, thank you.
